A man in his 20s was stabbed on Windermere Drive, Worcester, at about 6am on Sunday. A 19-year-old and a 17-year-old are held on suspicion of GBH.

Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed outside a property on Windermere Drive in Worcester early on Sunday morning.

West Mercia Police said officers were called to the address at around 6am on Sunday 1 November. They had reports that a man in his 20s had been stabbed. That is from the force’s statement, published the same morning.

The man was taken to hospital. The force said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Who has been arrested

According to the force, two people have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm:

  • a 19-year-old man
  • a 17-year-old boy

Both remain in police custody while enquiries continue. Neither has been charged. An arrest is not a finding of guilt.

What the police said

Detective Inspector Mel Reynolds said: “Residents may have woken up to a significant police presence in the area this morning, and I appreciate that incidents of this nature can be concerning for those living nearby.”

DI Reynolds added: “Two people have been arrested and our enquiries remain ongoing. At this stage, we believe those involved were known to each other, and there is currently nothing to suggest a wider risk to the community.”

The force said there would be more officers in the area throughout Sunday. They are carrying out enquiries and speaking to residents.

The figures for the area

On Windermere Drive itself, police.uk street-level data puts four violence and sexual offences “on or near Windermere Drive” in the 12 months to August 2026, the latest month published.

Across the wider area within a mile of the street, the same data records 1,197 violence and sexual offences over those 12 months. That category is broad. It includes harassment, stalking and assaults without injury, as well as the most serious attacks. Police.uk places each crime at an approximate point, not the exact address.

The figures for September and October are not yet published, so Sunday’s incident will not appear in them for some weeks.

This page will be updated if the police announce charges or further information.
