Police want dashcam, doorbell and CCTV footage after three people cut into the Tesco petrol station on Mill Wood Drive, Worcester, at 2.10am on Monday 19 October.

Police have released images of three people they want to trace after a burglary at the Tesco petrol station on Mill Wood Drive in Worcester.

The break-in happened at around 2.10am on Monday 19 October. West Mercia Police published the images on Wednesday morning, in a new appeal. The suspects’ faces cannot be seen, and the force is asking anyone with camera footage from the streets around the store to check it.

What the police say happened

According to the force, three suspects in dark clothing forced their way into the petrol station shop. It believes:

  • one used an angle grinder to cut through a metal security shutter over the front entrance
  • another used a fire extinguisher to smash a lower panel of the door
  • once inside, they cut open cash boxes with the angle grinder and left with them

The force says the three left on foot. They crossed a small fence onto Vetch Field Avenue, then went back to Mill Wood Drive. From there they rode off on electric bikes or electric motorbikes, which the force says travelled along Mill Wood Drive shortly after the burglary.

One of the released images shows a suspect carrying the angle grinder. The police now believe it was taken as the suspects left. You can see the images on the force’s appeal page.

No arrest has been announced.

What the detective said

Detective Sergeant Andrew Todd is leading the inquiry. He said: “We appreciate the suspects’ faces are not visible and that they are unlikely to be identifiable from the images alone. However, the photographs show a number of distinctive features, including an angle grinder being carried from the scene, as well as the clothing worn by the suspects.”

He added: “These images give people something specific to look out for, and even footage that appears insignificant could help us piece together the suspects’ movements before and after the burglary.”

This is the force’s second appeal. The first went out on Tuesday 20 October, the day after the burglary.

In the 12 months to August 2026, the latest month published, police.uk records 77 burglaries within a mile of the Mill Wood Drive store. The busiest months were October 2025 with 14 and March 2026 with 11. January and February 2026 had two each.

None of those 77 was mapped to the Tesco site itself. The figures stop in August, so Monday’s burglary will not appear until the October data is published.
