The Sergeants' Mess at Norton lists its annual display for Saturday 24 October. Sixways, which ran the city's biggest, has published no 2026 date.

One Worcester firework display has a 2026 date: the annual display at The Sergeants’ Mess at Norton, listed for Saturday 24 October. Bonfire Night itself is Thursday 5 November 2026.

Worcester City Council runs no display of its own, and Sixways Stadium, which held the city’s biggest for more than a decade, has not announced anything for this year. Here is what is confirmed, what is not, and how we checked.

The one confirmed date

The Sergeants’ Mess, the community hub on Brockhill Lane at Norton, publishes a 2026 events list that includes:

The venue is at Brockhill Lane, Norton, Worcester WR5 2PP, on the Gordon Jones Memorial Ground shared with Worcester Cricket Club and Worcester Norton Croquet Club. It is run by Worcester Norton Community Interest Company, a company limited by guarantee whose surplus is reinvested locally. (Worcester Norton Community Interest Company)

No time, ticket price or booking link has been published yet. The display has been sold through TicketSource in past years, and that site blocks automated requests, so we have not been able to read the listing. Treat the date as fixed and everything else as open.

Strictly, Norton-juxta-Kempsey sits just outside the city boundary in Wychavon, but it is a WR5 postcode and the club carries Worcester in its name. For most people in south Worcester it is the closest display.

Sixways: nothing announced

Sixways Stadium on Warriors Way, WR3 8ZE, ran the display that most people in Worcester mean when they say “the fireworks”. Its own account calls it a tradition “running for over a decade”.

As of 5 September 2026 its live events page lists three events and none is a fireworks night: Nearly Taylor Swift on 29 August, Rugby For Heroes on 20 September and Christmas at Sixways from 1 December. (Sixways Stadium, events) Its news feed has not carried a fireworks announcement since 25 September 2024.

That 2024 announcement is a useful guide to what the event costs and how it runs when it does happen. It was on Saturday 2 November 2024, hosted by Wyvern FM’s Owen Lowe, with Danter’s funfair. Gates opened at 5.30pm and the display started at about 7.30pm. Tickets were £10 adults and £5 juniors, with VIP dining at £25 and £15. Onsite parking was limited and had to be bought in advance, final entry was 6.30pm, and seats were allocated by block, row and number in the East Stand. Sixways announced that year on 25 September, so late September is the window to watch for any 2026 announcement. Visit Worcestershire’s county roundup records a Sixways Spooktacular Fireworks on Saturday 1 November 2025, so the event did run last year even though the stadium’s own news page never covered it. The council does not run one

Worcester City Council organises no bonfire or firework event. Searching its website for “fireworks” returns a single result, an unrelated community lottery story that happens to mention another club’s display. Searching for “bonfire” returns only allotment guidance stating that bonfires are not permitted on council allotment sites.

The city’s official tourist site, visitworcester.co.uk, run by the council’s own Tourist Information Centre, lists no firework event for autumn 2026 either.

Elsewhere in the county

Nothing else nearby is confirmed for 2026 yet, and the usual listings have not caught up.

  • Visit Worcestershire’s roundup is still the 2025 one. It is headed “Bonfire Night in Worcestershire 2025” and says it lists “confirmed events for 2025”. Do not read this year’s dates off it.
  • Evesham. The town council’s site still labels its page “Bonfire & Fireworks Spectacular 2025”. The 2025 event was on Corporation Meadow on 5 November. Nothing has been posted for 2026. (Evesham Town Council)

Bonfires and complaints

Environmental health for Worcester is handled by Worcestershire Regulatory Services, not the city council directly. Its guidance is blunter than most councils’: “There is no law in England and Wales that prevent people from having bonfires”, but the smoke and the material burned can still amount to a statutory nuisance or a specific offence. Complaints about smoke or noise go to WRS on 01905 822799 or enquiries@worcsregservices.gov.uk. On council allotment sites in Worcester, bonfires are separately banned under the allotment rules.

What we will update, and when

  • The Norton display’s start time, ticket price and booking link.
  • Whether Sixways runs a display in 2026. Expect an announcement in late September if it does.
  • Any Evesham, Malvern or Droitwich dates.
  • Any traffic management around either venue.
